Palacio de Marquesa is located in Taos, New Mexico which is in the north central region of the state, and only 50 miles south of the Colorado border. DIRECTIONS

Palacio de Marquesa is located just one block east of the main road through Taos, New Mexico.  Our street address is 405 Cordoba Road, Taos, New Mexico 87571



From Santa Fe: You will enter town on the main road (Paseo del Pueblo Sur, a continuation of Highway 68). As you near the center of town, the Whitten Inn will be on your right. Exactly 1/2 mile further north at the next traffic light, turn right onto Los Pandos, go one block to the four-way stop and turn right onto Cordoba. The inn is the first drive on the left.



From the North: Entering on Paseo del Pueblo Norte (Highway 64), turn left at the third traffic light onto Kit Carson Road. Go two blocks and turn right onto Montoya Street. Montoya Street is one block long. At the four-way stop, continue straight (the street name changes to Cordoba). The inn is the first drive on the left.





From the East: Heading toward Taos on Kit Carson Road (Highway 64), turn left onto Montoya Street, which is the street after Burch Street. Montoya Street is one block long. At the four-way stop, continue straight (the street name changes to Cordoba). The inn is the first drive on the left.

Driving directions to Taos:


Albuquerque to Taos Route: 
Approximate drive time: 2-1/2 hours
Take I-25 north toward Santa Fe. Take exit 276B for Highway 599, the Santa Fe Bypass and so-called Veteran's Memorial Highway. This will take you around all the Santa Fe traffic, saving at least 15 minutes. Take the Espanola/Taos exit and continue north on Highway 285/84. In Espanola stay on the main road. Highway 285 and 84 will head northwest. The road you are on will become Highway 68. When you enter Taos, the Highway becomes the main road through town.

Durango, Colorado to Taos Route:
Approximate drive time  4-1/2 hours
Take Highway 160 to Highway 84 east, crossing into New Mexico near the Jicarilla Apache reservation. At Tierra Amarilla, go east on Highway 64. About three miles north of Taos, at the intersection of Highways 64, 522 and 150, turn right (south) on Highway 64. This becomes the main road through Taos.

Denver/Colorado Springs to Taos Route:
Approximate drive time from Denver: 5-1/2 hours. From Colorado Springs, 4-1/2 hours. From Pueblo, 3 hours.
Take I-25 south toward Pueblo. South of Pueblo, take the Walsenburg exit which puts you on Colorado Highway 160. At Fort Garland, turn south (left) at the stop sign onto Highway 159. Travel through San Luis and then cross into New Mexico just north of Costilla. The Highway becomes New Mexico 522. Three miles north of Taos at the intersection of Highways 64, 522 and 150, continue straight. This becomes the main road through Taos. This way is about 45 minutes faster than I-25 to Raton and then Highway 64 to Taos.
